get on board or get out of the way.
NAME: Conner KentNICKNAME(S): Superboy, Kon-El, Project Kr, the boy of steel AGE: 6 years old (mentally 22 years old) BIRTHDATE: March 21, 2010 ZODIAC: Pisces/Aries cusp HEIGHT: ~5'8" WEIGHT: ~174 HAIR: Black EYES: Blue SEXUAL ORIENTATION: OCCUPATION: Superhero CANON: Young Justice CANON POINT: post War (2x15) HISTORY: bloop. You're strong. And I'm stubborn. Together!
Since he's only a partial clone of Superman it's only natural that he'd get some of the Kryptonian powers. However since he is a partial clone (in that being he's only half Kryptonian half human) he lacks all the more advanced powers such as flight, x-ray and heat vision. His powers also aren't exactly on par to Superman's either. But he works with the powers he's been given.
physical super leap: he can leap tall buildings in a single bound! Well, sort of... It depends on how tall the building is. But it definitely makes up for his inability to fly. He can jump incredible distances and heights. invulnerability: he can basically take a good beating and still get back onto his feet. He's been punched through walls and shot at with guns and will still keep going. It takes a lot to physically hurt him. super hearing: he can pick up the faintest sounds over long distances. He heard Artemis' heart stop beating in episode seven in the second season. infrared vision: he can detect heat signatures, which allows him to easily see in the dark. hand to hand combatant: this, really isn't much of a power, but I feel that it's necessary to mention. Thanks to his training under Black Canary, he has developed proficient combat skills. He's also got a whole lot of endurance! mental intelligence: basically, he's really really smart! He seems to love and understand World History the most since he answered a question about a country his World History teacher hadn't yet covered in class yet. He also managed to get into an ivy league college in between the five year gap from season one and two! There's a time to go in strong and a time to go in smart.
Prior joining up with the team, Superboy spent most of his life in an underground lab called Cadmus. There, he was force-fed an education telepathically by G-Gnomes (another creation of Cadmus) for sixteen weeks. Because of this he is extremely intelligent. The extent of his knowledge isn't really known yet, but so far he seems to know his fair share of World History as shown with him being able to successfully answer the teacher's question involving the country Relasia. He also seems to be multilingual as he is able to understand Bane whispering in Spanish to one of his men when they were doing a recon mission in Santa Prisca. While fluent in Spanish, he is also fluent in French, Korean, Arabic, and Russian, among other languages.
He... isn't really the best when it comes to conversing in social settings. Since he never really interacted with anyone up to the point of his release, he has a hard time trying to convey his emotions to the others around him. He also has a hard time understanding simple concepts such as trying to apologize to someone. When he went off on M'gann for talking to him telepathically he had a very hard time trying to think and string together a decent apology. Overall he's pretty quiet and doesn't really speak to people unless he's spoken to first. He can also get pretty awkward when dealing with something that's uncomfortable to him. As the series progresses he can hold a somewhat decent conversation, but it isn't until the second season that you see him stepping out of his shell. Well-- seeing as he is Superman's clone, he is extremely cocky with his fighting abilities. At one point he deemed training with Black Canary unimportant and thought that it was "a waste of his time." Because of this arrogance he ignores the help of others and impulsively throws himself at things that he can't handle by himself. However, his views do change, especially once he realizes that he has yet to learn everything that there is to learn. In later episodes he's seen training with Black Canary and his teammates. Often times after practice or a mission he's seen prattling on and on about how "Black Canary taught me that one." Despite the cockiness he might have, he has a lot to live up to in living up to his namesake. These feelings aren't brought to light until later on in the season. His number one concern is that he will never be strong enough to live up to the the man of steel's strength. He discovered this quickly when he found out that he was only half Kryptonian (thanks to Lex Luthor's DNA donation), and the fight against Match (who was a first and failed attempt at cloning a Kryptonian) helped exemplify how weak he was when it came to going all out against a Kryptonian. He's also extremely guilty for finding peace and understanding what it meant to be Superman during the failed simulation. Instead of grieving like the rest of his team, he was able to find some kind of solace when he "died". He has a lot of anger issues too. He's easily angered and overreacts to a lot of things that oftentimes doesn't merit an overreaction to in the first place. A good example of this would be when he pulled a kid off of his skateboard and yelled at him when he was asking what kind of t-shirt the boy was wearing, and why he was wearing it in one of the earlier episodes. He is also extremely confrontational to new people. When he really wants to know something he'll do his damn best to get the information. He also really hates being compared to and mistaken for Superman. He doesn't take really well to being bossed around or dismissed either. A lot of his anger issues seems to stem off of the lack of a relationship he and Superman have. When Superman's involved he feels angered when he's simply brushed off by the man of steel. All he's truly looking for in Superman is a mentor and a possible father figure. He's tried numerous of times to extend the olive branch, but he's been cut off and turned away at every turn. It really shows how upset and frustrated Conner gets whenever Superman's name is brought up. This sort of explains why he warmed up to Lex for a short while. Sure he knows Lex Luthor is one seriously bad dude, but he was the first of the two to actually acknowledge Conner as his son. Lex gave him what Clark skirted around, and because of that Conner increasingly relied on the little gift Lex gave him after their first visit. However, this all seems to gradually change during the five year gap in between seasons. He's kind of mellowed out and definitely seems less angry with the world then he used to be early on in the show. His anger issues aren't as bad, and even his communication skills have improved! Well, somewhat. He's still a little socially awkward, but it's better than ignoring and glaring at everyone who speaks to him. He also has more experience under his belt and thinks before he rushes in with his fists raised. He's definitely matured over the years. But one of the biggest steps he's had to face was breaking up with his girlfriend, M'gann M'orzz. The number one driving force as to why he broke up with her was because of her improper use of her powers. She would abuse her powers in order to extract information from their enemies oftentimes leaving them in a catatonic state afterwards. She relentlessly pushed them to their breaking point, and that was something he just wasn't really comfortable with. To him, superheroes aren't supposed to use their powers to do evil things. But when he tried to confront her about this issue, he ended up as a victim as well. Feeling beyond betrayed that he could no longer trust the woman he loved, he ended their relationship then and there. He still gets angry from time to time when he sees her misusing her powers. There's been one thing that I've wanted and feared, to know what it's like to be Superman.
» greatest regret: breaking up with M'gann. And now it would also be not telling Nightwing about M'gann's abuse of her powers.
» biggest fear: it would probably have to be loneliness. Because of his invulnerability he's kind of just sitting around watching all of his friends and loved ones age and get older and weaker while he stays the same. » most precious person: M'gann. Even though she tried to mess with his head some, he was the most happiest when he was dating/with her. » worst memory: ...probably when M'gann tried alter his memories. No capes, no tights. No offense.
» absolutely nothing!
But I'm the one who'll stand by you.
